We hold a General Medical Service contract with

All GP practices are contracted to provide ‘essential services’, that is, treatment of ill people (This includes range of acute and chronic illnesses, physical or mental, and covers all age groups and both sexes).
Important aspects of our work are
- person centred care
- holistic care
- health promotion and preventing illness
- management of long term condition ( asthma, COPD, diabetes, coronary heart disease , hypertension etc )
- managing multiple and complex medical conditions in particularly the frail and elderly population
- providing palliative and end of life care
- identifying and where appropriate treating psychiatric and social co-morbidities along with our mental health and social work colleagues.
Additional services available are
- Cervical screening
Insertion and removal of contrcaptive implant (Nexplanon)- Child health surveillance (6 week baby checks)
- Maternity services - antenatal and postnatal (in conjunction with community midwives)
- Range of investigations including Blood tests, swabs , urine and stool cultures
- Intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
- Vaccinations and immunisations - including Flu, pneumococcal and childhood immunisations
