Home Visits

Doctor's bagIf possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit.

Please always give us a contact number as the doctor might need to phone you beforehand for triage purposes.

The possible outcomes of a HomeVisit request are:

1. Doctor might give you advice and/or prescription over phone .

2. or does a Home Visit

3. or calls for an Ambulance

4. or asks the District nurses to visit you at home

You may only request a home visit if you  are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

Please remember

1. you will be seen quicker and have a more detailed examination in the Surgery ( just pick up the phone and we will make arrangements that suit you , there is a disabled ramp , a calling bell for assistance and a wheelchair at the entrance of the surgery)

2.Time spent on one home visit = around 6 patients being seen in the Surgery
